Volume: K-POP LOVERS
Date: 25th July 2013 6pm

[Second piece] About your new PV ‘I Love You’, any behind the scenes information about the PV?

TRO: Are there anything to take note of when performing ‘I Love You’ which is about to be released for sale on the 31st of July?
D-LITE: This time I am covering Yutaka Ozaki’s classic song ‘I Love You’ which is VERY famous in Japan. In Korea, senior singer POSITION covered the song before too and received good reaction which everybody knew about it. Also, ‘I Love You’ has been covered by many artists in the past before… When recording, I listened to all the versions of ‘I Love You’ by all the various artists and also the original singer, I learnt and created this song at the same time.

TRO: After singing, did you feel any parts which were more difficult?
D-LITE: There isn’t anything specific. “D’scover” is an album; the 12 songs that were recorded inside are all works of what I would like to convey my message about. This time, it is a single, I can only use one song to convey what I want to say, that is very difficult.

TRO: When listening to “D’scover” I felt that your Japanese is very fluent. You conveyed your message very well via the lyrics.
D-LITE: Thank you.

TRO: You also challenged your acting when filming for ‘I Love You’ PV.
D-LITE: In the PV there is a kiss scene. I was so nervous my heartbeat kept increasing.. As it is my first kiss scene, I prepared a lot…

TRO: What did you prepare?
D-LITE: A day before filming, I started brushing my teeth every 5 minutes, to adjust my mentality… In truth, the start of the PV filming was the kiss scene. Although I know that it is not good to be too nervous, I can’t help it. When filming I was still thinking “I kissed already! I kissed already!” There weren’t many NGs~ If only there were more NGs (laugh)…. A pity..

TRO: If you were to challenge a new J-Pop cover in future, what type of songs would you like to sing?
D-LITE: There are still many songs I would like to try! When producing “D’scover”, just the list of back-up songs alone was 200, I was anticipating so much when listening to all of it. I selected the songs that I liked from the list of songs I already filtered through.. Then I started discussing with my team. There are also songs that I personally like but was not recorded in the album. I will go and understand the song again and practice even more. So, the chance of challenging new songs is always there (laugh).
