My first confession has to be kept for my future marriage partner
First solo single, beautiful ballad poetry

Yutaka Ozaki’s ‘I Love You’ has been covered in Korea before as well. It is very popular and it is a song that I like and also very familiar with since my junior high school days. As it’s a famous song, when I got invited to cover this song, compared to my uneasiness and pressure, I feel happier. Before recording, I will listen to the song first then combine my voice with the song in my brain. Normally I am always very calm before recording but this time round, I feel slightly confused. However, when in the studio recording with Hakase Taro, when I heard his violin melody, my mind cleared and I received courage from there. In such a short time, one take was ok. I only met with Hakase Taro once and I find him to be a cheerful and interesting person. Also, the producer Seiji Kameda is a funny person too so I was able to relax and enjoy and also focus on my work. This is a disc that I can complete thanks to the help of many people. Although I did try listening to it once again, but there are so many cover version of ‘I Love You’ everywhere. Yutaka Ozaki’s original version ranks first, so doesn’t the second ranking belongs to me? (laugh) I still have confidence!

The recording was done in Japan and the MV was filmed in Korea. I had my first kiss scene for this MV. But the kiss scene was not requested by me so everybody, please do not misunderstand me. I am very satisfied that this piece of work can be completed perfectly (both MV and song) but I do not wish for my family, Bigbang members or anybody to see that kiss scene, very shy.. very shy (laugh) Although I was very nervous for my first kiss scene, I still had to enjoy doing it. I completed filming with only very few NGs. Now that I think back, it’s good if I had NGs for kiss scenes right?! I am just joking. At that time, my mind was really empty and I couldn't think of anything else.

Although I am singing this song, but the truth is, I do not have experience confessing my love to others. Thus, my first time saying ‘I Love You’ will be reserved for the girl who will be marrying me in future. Ah, I am sweating now (laugh) For me, rather than using a direct method, I would rather have people using an awesome method to confess their love to me. The type of girls I like are girls who work really hard because I think it is handsome and sexy.

Japanese girls give me the vibe that they are gentle, have beautiful smiles and very charming. Bigbang’s dome tour will begin in November so I will be able to enjoy such smiles again.
In future, let us use my ‘I Love You’ to create new memories together. When listening to the song, let us find out the charm of the song and reminisce about the past. Right now I am also frequently listening to BOYZ II MEN songs and it allows me to think back to my trainee days. When listening to Bigbang’s album, I will then think about the world tour. So, I would really like to sing songs that allows others to look back to their memories.
