Bigbang member D-LITE officially debuted in Japan on 27th February after much anticipation by the public. His debut work is an album of covered J-Pop songs which is dyed with “D-LITE” colors where he records with his gentle voice.
“This is my first solo album; my members gave me support by telling me to think about my color and my voice and to try to perform music confidently. Even when I was in Bigbang, I will always try to sing using different methods and I did consider if these methods will help to make my voice more outstanding.”

D-LITE who possesses an elegant, strong and powerful voice and exceptional singing skills captured the listeners’ hearts. D-LITE’s dream of becoming a singer was actually influenced by his environment during his growing-up phrase as a child.
“My family love to listen to songs so when I was young, I had already started listening to many songs. I will also visit the Karaoke outlets frequently with my family. Trot was also one of the factors that made me want to be a singer (laugh). Trot is my mother’s favourite genre.”

D-LITE has now fulfilled his dreams. D-LITE who is busy every day, if there are extra rest days this year, what would you like to challenge in Japan.
“From the past till now, I always wanted to try Japan’s sub-urban tours. Because of this, I have also read many books and photographs regarding the suburb. As I like to travel alone as well, it would be great if I can go on the tour myself. However, if I want to go on tour, I think my boss and manager will follow me… (wry laugh)”

This manager seems to be so strict about you learning Japanese..
“When conducting interviews, if I speak anything wrong in Japanese, he will note it down immediately!!! This is already scary enough.. (laugh) However, I will still continue working hard (laugh)
