BIGBANG’s DAESUNG attracted much attention by topping Japan’s iTunes with his
single “RAINY RAINY.”
His
mini album “RAINY RAINY” released on June 11 in celebration of his solo arena
“D-LITE DLive Tour 2014 in Japan” swept across ranking #1 to 4 on Japanese
major real-time charts including iTunes and mu-no.
The
latest mini album holds two new songs including “RAINY RAINY,” in which DAESUNG
was involved in writing the lyrics, and an upbeat “HOT&COLD.” The other two
are “TRY SMILING” and “LOOK AT ME, GWISUN”, which received positive reviews at
his last year’s solo tour. All four songs are recorded in Japanese.
Early
last year DAESUNG unveiled his solo album “D’scover,” and broke the record on
Oricon Weekly Chart in Japan for becoming the runner-up with the first album as
a solo artist from a Korean idol group.
He
positioned himself as a talented solo vocalist in Japan when he successfully
completed the “D-LITE D’scover Tour 2013 in Japan” that was held 26 times
across 20 cities, accompanied by 100,000 fans.
On
June 11, starting with 2 concerts at Yokohama Arena, DAESUNG will move on to
Kobe World Memorial Hall, Marine Messe Fukuoka, Zebio Area Sendai, Hokkaido
Prefectural Sports Center Hokkaikitaeru, Nihon Gaishi Hall, Nihon Budoukan and
Osaka Castle for the “D-LITE DLive Tour 2014 in Japan” that will be held 15
times across 8 cities joined by 170,000 fans.
On
July 16, DAESUNG will be releasing a new solo album in Japan.
