Covering the classic song ‘I Love You’ for his first solo single. “I have experience in love too!”

“Yutaka Ozaki is a legendary figure. ‘I Love You’ is a classic song that everybody loves. As it’s a song that has already been covered many times, I feel worried.”

Starting his solo career with “D’scover” cover album in February this year, D-LITE lets the public see his power as Bigbang’s main vocals. Next, he released his first solo single ‘I Love You’. This song debuted on Oricon’s daily charts on 4th position and it’s a song where he collaborates with world renowned violinist Hakase Taro. Apart from that, his first kiss scene in the MV has also become a talking point.

“Under Hakase Taro’s splendid performance, my voice was able to blend harmonically into the song. The kiss scene is his first but not the kiss itself. I have had experience in love too! I am not that naïve, everybody please do not worry (laugh) Although I was really nervous during filming, but there weren’t any NGs at all, that’s a pity. Hahaha. Other than using chapstick I don’t really take care of my lips. My lips are originally a pretty pink color (laugh) The chapstick I use that suits my lips a lot is a product from Elizabeth Arden!”

For the first half of the year, you started your solo tour with a solo album and you fulfilled your dream of “a stage where everybody comes together” with 100,000 fans. Bigbang will then start their 6 dome tour near the end of the year.

“I have been performing in Japan for about 5 years. I am very happy being able to fulfill my dreams of performing a dome tour. I have always been thankful and grateful to all my fans. Now, I am anticipating what would happen during the dome concerts, where all members finishes their solo activities and consolidate what they have learnt together and unleash the power during the concert.”

A confession towards a member

Amongst all members only TOP did not come for my solo tour. When I was performing in Osaka he was in Tokyo instead. Up till now, I still feel quite sad…. I am joking (laugh) TOP said he was very sorry and I told him it’s ok because I understand his feelings and that is enough. The other members told me they were very happy and I did a good job. As we are all men, we did not talk deeply about it.
