Bigbang’s beautiful main vocal D-LITE
First Japanese solo single special episode

D-LITE: “Listening to this song, the impression it gives me is blue and purple. It’s the color of hope and loneliness.”

D-LITE’s first Japanese solo single is a cover of Yutaka Ozaki’s classic song ‘I Love You’. Following his first album “D’scover”, he once again chose to cover J-Pop.
D-LITE: “Even if the world objects to it, describing that as long as two people are in love, they will hold on tightly and believe in love. When composing, I want to emphasize on their courage and strength.”

In the MV, he challenged himself for a kissing scene for the first time! Normally, he doesn’t speak about anything related to the topic of love. We tried to ask him about how he thought about the kiss scene…
D-LITE: “I was too nervous so I couldn’t remember anything (laugh). When listening to this word ‘love’, my initial impression of it was [happiness feeling]. If there is someone you like, everything in this world should be different from what you are seeing right now. I think this is the power of love. But it is fine for me right now even if I don’t have a girlfriend! Actually right now, I am very into LEGO. When I have off days, I can spend my entire day playing LEGO. If I have a girlfriend, I will feel restrained and it might create a problem instead..”

Although he’s 24 years old, D-LITE is still like a teenager. Although the adult love has not begin, he left a message like this for his fans.
“Summer is a season for love! Everybody, please listen to my music and embark on your journey to all types of love! Then, create more new memories!”

The interview this time is about ‘Love’. D-LITE talked to us a lot about all types of love so we are very satisfied♥

LOVE movie
My favourite love movie is Japan’s “Wish To See You Now”. Firstly, I like Yuko Takeuchi a lot (laugh). The storyline is also good. When it is the rainy season, the grandma who passed away will come back to visit her husband and son. I like the American movie “The Notebook”  too.

Family Love
To me right now, family love is the closest love. When I was in Japan, my mom will text me every day. For example, “have you eaten your rice well?” etc. Although it is a simple text, but after seeing it my heart will feel warm. If I use bread to represent my parents, my mom is a morning bun. She is very soft like a marshmallow. My dad is a French bun. Because the exterior is very strong. Although he is strict about etiquette, but he always has good relationships with his friends. In future when I become a father, I would also like to give my children the type of love my father gives me. A love like French bun, this is my dream.

Love for the fans
During my first solo tour, I had close proximity with the audience and I received much more love from all of them. I will ask fans who came for my tour a few times “how many times has it been?” and will talk to them frequently. If a couple comes, I will ask if they are going to get married soon. After asking them, they told me “Yes, next year!”. When they reply like this I feel happy too. It feels like I am spending time together with all of them every time I have contact with them. To me, this is happiness.
